A wonderful luncheon with my "sisters".

Today was the Christmas Luncheon for the "Peace of the Country Quilters". We all met at Karen's house at 11 am and brought items for a potluck lunch along with a few gifts for each
other. This was also the time to reveal our Secret Sister that we have had all year.
I found out that the Secret Sister who gave to me was Leslie. Through the year, I received some wonderfully fun gifts as well as very special ones. Today she gave me a Christmas stocking full of gifts including a Laurel Burch bag, a Christmas kitchen towel, candy cane treee, butterfly bookmark, angel ornament and a personalized sewing ornament for my tree.

From Carol I received a very pretty basket with some homemade shortbread, hot chocolate, tea, spiced cider, 2 handmade dishcloths, 5 fat 1/4's, a glass jar with red and green candy, (a pocket knife, a Canada calendar, barBQ brush and visor cd case from Carol's hubby Gerry). Leslie also gave everyone a tall Christmas mug and a mini bottle of Listerine to soak our sore feet in LOL. Roxanne made us each a very kewl wire and bead bookmark . Doe gave each one a cute little round Mary Engelbreit box with some schmetz sewing machine needles inside. Yoshi gave us each a very cute pin made from buttons, my was a kitty cat. Karen gave us all a cute little box with caramel popcorn and a frosty the snowman ornament.

I gave each one of the ladies a craft tote with a pair of quilt socks, Mary Engelbreit post-it notes, and an angel ornament. We played a few games and I won 3 prizes what fun! We also showed the mystery blocks (12) that we had been working on for the past year. ( I had only completed 5 so I still have much work to do)

It feels like Christmas has started early in my house.
