What fun......

Today I started a new little quilt which has paper pieced kites. It took quite a while to pre-cut all the backgroun fabric and also to go through my scrap bin and find some suitable fabrics. I chose a fairly dark blue mottled background and will make the kites out of lighter pastel type colors. After all the pre-cutting we took a break and ran down to Fabricland to see if they had anything that we wanted to use in the kites - on sale. I ended up finding 4 different fabrics that will work really well and I only got small amount so it only came to $5.

After coming back and having some lunch we completed one kite each and almost a second one. I then had to leave it and run to my Dad's because someone was coming to pick up a bookcase.
Tomorrow morning we will continue to work on them and see how we do.
