Some great finds.

This morning Margaret and I headed out to Toews to pick up our free monthly gift. Mine was a wooden metre stick. They also had the new cotton thread that they are bringing in to sell at a discounted price so we each bought one to try. They are 1500 metre spools of cream colored for $2.50 each and we will try it out and if we like it then we can share a box of 10 spools.

From there we went to Quilt Essentials and then to the tea house for tea and scones.

We went and found a fabric warehouse that sells mostly silks, velvets etc. to the East Indians to make their ethnics clothes. They had many bins of remnants and we found lots of fabrics suitable for Crazy Quilting. We have talked about doing some CQ for a long time and now that we have learned a little about paper piecing, we thought we'd give it a try.

After that we stopped at IGA for hot cross buns and came home for tea.
