No sewing but a good day.

This morning I met my daughter Kari at my Dad's to see if she wanted any of the furniture before we start cleaning out the place. She chose a few things and also took a couple boxes of "stuff". I brought home an old standing sewing box that was my Mother's and a huge photo albums which dates back to when I was little. I haven't gone through it yet but just might have to share some of the old photos in this blog.

After going through Dad's place, Kari and I went to the new temporary care home to visit with him and he looked a little rough. As I had expected, the move was quite tough on him. They actually ended up moving him at midnight on Thursday night. No wonder he was in rough shape. Anyway, I think he is looking forward to being moved to a permanent location although I'm sure not the move.

I visited with Elmyra, (my Dad's neighbor and a quilter) and she gave me a bunch of quilt magazines that she was getting rid of. I will go through them to see if there are any that have patterns that I am interested in.

Tonight will be a lazy night and hubby will be back to work tomorrow so I hope to spend some time in my sewing room.
