I am down in Southern California in the RV so my quilting/embroidery is much more limited. We were parked in a RV Resort in Desert Hot Springs for 16 days so I managed to attend a few of their quilting days and get a little sewing done. Before leaving home, I had stitched out and trimmed up all the embroidery blocks for the "Cat's Meow" quilt which is from Lunch Box Designs. I brought them all with me but realized that I forgot to bring the batik fabric to frame the blocks. It was really tough having to go out and buy more fabrics. LOL Here are the blocks ready for the borders.
Once I had the 10 different batiks needed, I washed and ironed them and started adding them to the cat blocks.
After all the cat blocks were bordered then I started fitting them together with the other embroidered blocks.
Now - it's time for the first border which consists of embroidered paw prints and filler background blocks.
I need to put one more border on but haven't decided on the fabric yet.
