It's almost Christmas!

Well, since it's almost Christmas and the people who received a couple of my quilt projects have already opened them - I can now post some photos of them.  The first one is a wall hanging I made for Margaret who lives across the road from me.  Margaret and I have quilted together off and on for many years and attended lots of quilt retreats together.  I love making items for Margaret with machine embroidery because that is one thing that she has not got involved in and it's different for her.  I really fell in love with these cute little Christmas Mice.

The next one was made for my SIL Muriel.  She is an amazing knitter who took up quilting after we went to visit her in 2010.  While there I did a mini class on a quilted table-topper for her and a girl friend and she has been hooked ever since.  A couple of years ago she decided she liked the machine embroidery that I used in my quilts so bought herself a Brother Embroidery Machine and is hooked on that too.  LOL  It's very addictive.  I try to send Muriel a home made gift every Christmas because I know she appreciates them.  These little SBS Christmas Applique designs are from Designs by JuJu which is one of our favorite sites for buying embroidery designs.
Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
