Another Hot Day

Well, today ended up being very hot. The temperature hit 29 outside my house and thank goodness it stays fairly cool inside.
I went to my Arthritus specialist today who told me she felt there was not much else she could do to help with my problems. She said it is something that I need to learn to live with.

After my appointment I went to visit with a friend that I haven't seen for quite a while. We had a lovely visit and lunch and I checked out all the quilts that she has made recently. Leslie is such a prolific quilter. She gets so much done that I feel like I'm sleeping most of the time.

On my way home, I was passed by 2 police cars with lights and sirens and by the time I caught up to them near my home, they were at the scene of a horrible accident. A person was parking at a local drug store and instead of braking, they stepped on the gas and plowed into the building and pinned a 6 year old boy between the car and the building. An air ambulance was called in to transport the young boy to the hospital but he never made it. It was such a tragic scene.
I feel so much for the family of that boy who much be in total shock.
