On Monday morning, Yvonne and I loaded up her car and headed across the border for Puyallup, WA. There was some snow on the ground but the roads were good. Once across the border as we were heading towards Lynden - we encountered some wicked snow and wind. We were driving very slow as at times it was 'white-out' conditions. Once we got down to Bellingham, the roads were good and the parking lot at Joann's was just wet and slushy.
After a short stop we were back on the road and arrived at our Best Western Hotel around 3pm. It was a really nice hotel and after unloading all our gear into the room, we headed over to the South Hill Mall to shop a little and pick up some food for the cooler. We went to Applebee's for dinner and then back to the hotel to get the student handouts ready for the next day.
Early Tuesday morning after a great breakfast, we took our laptops and handouts downstairs to the conference room and set up for the first day of the EQ Stitch class. There were 18 ladies taking the class and things went very well. We walked across the hotel parking lot to Denny's for dinner and called it an early night.
Wednesday morning after breakfast we once again headed downstairs for another day of lessons. The class went very well and we actually finished early and was able to take a little rest in the hotel room before heading out to Red Lobster for dinner.
Thursday morning we checked out of the hotel and headed over to the Puyallup Fair Grounds to attend the Sewing & Stitchery Expo.
After checking out all the vendors and doing some shopping, we went to the car to eat our lunch and then headed for home. Luckily, we got out of the Seattle area before the rush hour started and after a short stop at the Costco in Bellingham - we were home before 5pm.
