I am an active member of the Langley Machine Embroidery Group. Each month there is a lesson which comes with a set of designs and although it is optional, I usually try to complete the lesson and make something. For the month of October the lesson included 'face' designs. It took me a while to figure out what to do with them but I finally decided that if I stitched them out on yellow fabric - they kind of looked like the sun.
My Grand-daughter Jade (aka Chatty Cathy) is well known for her little sayings. Two of my favorites are when she says "The Sun Comin Out" and "It's Good Morning Time". I decided to make her this pillow with the 'sun faces'. On the other side is 4 more faces with the "The Sun Comin Out" saying. She Loves It!!!
