We have had quite a few nice dry days but it seems they are gone again. It is official however that we have just come through the warmest January in history in Vancouver. It is a shame that we are hosting the winter Olympics in less than 2 weeks and the local mountains look pretty dismal.
On Thursday, we had our first 'Ft. Langley Machine Embroidery Group' and it was wonderful. The same lady who used to teach the "Brother Club" is now holding this monthly group as the local sewing machine store cancelled "Brother Club". This month we did some applique pieces created in the hoop. It is a new technique to me using adhesive interfacing. I hope to finish my project sometime this week and will post photos.
Friday I picked up my Grand-daughter Jade and she was not well with a nasty cough. I kept her overnight and tried to keep her warm and snuggly. She is such a lovely baby and always has a smile even when she is sick.
